Accepting New Patients

Our books are open only to residents of the municipality of George Town

Fees

Currently Bulk Billing all consultations however private fees may apply to procedures, x-rays, ECG’s, Lung Function Testing and Hearing Testing.

Pre-employment medicals and Public Vehicle Licence medicals are not covered by Medicare and will incur a cost.

Telephone Consults

If you wish to have a telephone consult, please call the surgery. For urgent matters, inform reception for triage and urgent booking if necessary.

House Calls

Home visits can be organised if necessary.

Registrars & Doctors in Training

We are an accredited RACGP & ACRRM teaching practice with GP registrars and doctors in training, supervised by a senior doctor. They may include a senior doctor in your consultations

Results & Follow Ups

Patients are asked to ring or make an appointment to receive any test results (blood tests, X-rays, ultrasounds, etc.) organised by your doctor. We urge you to do this so that all abnormal results are appropriately managed.

Results may only be released to the patient concerned to maintain confidentiality. Results for children under 16 may be released to their parent or guardian.
